Approved M&V Professionals

The ESS Rule requires that M&V Professionals must be used by Accredited Certificate Providers (ACPs) to confirm the validity of energy models used when calculating energy savings under the Project Impact Assessment with Measurement and Verification method. The ESS Rule also prescribes that to be an M&V Professional a person must be approved by the Scheme Administrator on the basis that they meet certain requirements. Information on applying to be approved as an M&V Professional for either specific implementations of a recognised energy saving activity, or for ‘general’ approval can be found here.

Only the details of those M&V Professionals that have been approved as general M&V Professionals by the Scheme Administrator are published. These M&V Professionals can be engaged by ACPs for projects involving the end-user equipment and energy model types for which the M&V Professionals are approved.
