About the Audit Services Panel

Audits play an integral role in the Energy Security Safeguard schemes. They help ensure ongoing compliance of scheme participants and ACPs.

To ensure audits are of a high standard, IPART established the Audit Services Panel (Panel). Only members of the Panel can conduct audits under the schemes. IPART approves Panel members based on them having certain qualifications to conduct reasonable assurance audits.

The panel includes a category of auditors known as "PIAM&V Auditors". These auditors are approved to conduct audits under the Project Impact Assessment with Measurement and Verification (PIAM&V) method. Only PIAM&V auditors can audit work using the PIAM&V method. 

To become a member of the Panel, you need to apply to IPART. This includes showing you have the necessary qualifications to conduct reasonable assurance audits. See the next steps below for details.
