Consumers of energy upgrades may be able to get discounts through the NSW Energy Security Safeguard schemes.

Who are they?

Consumers are householders and businesses who consume energy every day to power up appliances and devices. By installing new or upgrading and replacing old equipment under the schemes, they can help save energy and reduce demand during peak times.

How does it work?

As a consumer you can receive discounts on energy upgrades in their homes or businesses. Accredited Certificate Providers (ACPs), or the installers who work for them, offer these discounts. In exchange, you transfer the energy savings or peak demand reduction to them.

ACPs then use the energy savings or peak reductions to create certificates, which they can sell.
