Adding an authorised signatory user
You must be an authorised signatory user under your organisation’s TESSA account to:
- apply for a new accreditation
- apply for amendment of an existing accreditation
- sign declarations for hot water heater product applications.
How to apply to add an authorised signatory user
These are 3 pathways to add a signatory user:
- When you are registering a TESSA account for your organisation
- If you already have access to your organisation’s TESSA account and you want to become a signatory user
- If your organisation has a TESSA account, but you don’t and you want to become a signatory user
Pathway 1 – When registering a TESSA account
- Complete the account registration form.
- Choose YES to the question ‘Do you intend to be an authorised signatory user’.
- Provide proof of identity and evidence of your signatory authority during account onboarding (see below section on evidence of signatory authority).
Pathway 2 – You want to become a signatory user on an existing organisation account
- Complete and submit the ‘Apply for Signatory Access’ form accessed through the My Profile section of the TESSA portal.
- Upload evidence of your signatory authority (see below section on evidence of signatory authority).
Pathway 3 – You want to become a signatory user on an existing organisation account, but don’t have an account yourself
- Ask your organisation’s administrator to add you as a new user and request signatory access for you. They can do this through the Create Contact section of TESSA.
- The account administrator will need to provide evidence of your signatory authority during your user profile setup (see below section on evidence of signatory authority).
Evidence of signatory authority
You will need to provide the following evidence when applying for signatory user access:
- A current company extract from ASIC. You can find more information about company extracts on the ASIC website.
- Either a letter of authority on your organisation's letterhead or 100 points of identification.
- A letter of authority must be signed by two company directors, or by one director and company secretary. For a company where the sole director is also the company secretary or there is no company secretary, it must be signed by that director.
- If you are the sole director and the company secretary (or have no company secretary), you must provide 100 points of identification instead of this letter (refer to the account registration page on our website).
