Scheme participant compliance timeline

See below the compliance timeline for the 2024 Energy Savings Scheme (ESS) and 2024-25 Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS) compliance periods. This includes key dates you must meet as a scheme participant in line with your obligations.

We will maintain a similar compliance timeline for the 2025 and 2026 ESS and 2025-26 and 2026-27 PDRS compliance periods. 

 

31 October 2024 IPART publish PDRS scheme certificate target. 30 April 2025 IPART publish 4 peak days. Mid-June 2025 IPART provide ESS AEMO data. End August 2025 IPART provide PDRS AEMO data. 13 November 2025 scheme participants to lodge ESS annual statement and PDRS individual liable demand. 22 January 2026 IPART publish scheme liable demand. 12 March 2026 scheme participants to lodge PDRS annual statement. 7 May 2026 scheme participants to pay any shortfall penalties.
