Power Factor Correction Energy Savings Formula
The Power Factor Correction (PFC) method is a calculation method under the ESS. It calculates electricity savings at a site after installing power factor correction equipment.
The Service and Installation Rules of New South Wales requires that the power factor for any site be above 0.9 lagging. As such, the ESC calculation is only based on power factor corrections from 0.9 to a maximum of 0.98.
