Accredited Certificate Providers (ACPs) are voluntary participants in the Energy Security Safeguard schemes. They create certificates from activities that save energy or reduce peak demand, like upgrading appliances in homes and businesses.

Scheme participants (typically energy retailers) are required to participate in the Energy Security Safeguard. They acquire certificates and surrender them to meet targets each year.

Members of the Audit Services Panel play an essential role in the Energy Security Safeguard. They provide reasonable assurance over scheme compliance.
